A soul saving tour de force of utter jubilation. Need I say more? That it sits atop countless end-of-year lists as the finest record amongst an already stellar year for music should speak for itself. The comparisons to the Beach Boys don’t even come close to doing it justice. This is a masterpiece that, for my money, cannot be matched. I have no reservations about saying that it’s better than anything you’ll come across. When one single record can effortlessly divert a dark night of the soul then there can be little argument. Reach for it, but it…and don’t look back.
