Black Mountain performing ‘Stormy High’ on Conan O’Brien. I’ve given their album In The Future a few listens now and I’ve yet to see what all the fuss is about. Maybe I’m just not getting, but this all seems too similar to the tired recycling of Sabbath/Zep/Purple riffs that bands like Wolfmother have been ponying about.
So this is where I implore you, the lovely people out there, to chime in: I want you to sell it to me. Let me hear what you’re hearing. Convince me to persist with Black Mountain and maybe, just maybe I’ll be on the hype bandgwagon in no time…
