White Denim – ‘Goldie Locks’
While I’m in the mood, I’m going to post up a couple more new tracks by bands quite clearly tipping their hats to the forebearers of garage rock. Take these White Denim tunes for starters: they’re visceral, loose and full of the kind of energy you can only get from recording live. White Denim is a rock band from Austin Texas, consisting of three like minded individuals with a shared goal. James Petralli, Steve Terebecki, and Joshua Block want little more than to push your speakers to their extremities with enjoyable sound. The trio’s unique approach to rock music at times recalls the more frantic work of classic groups like squeeze or the creation, while maintaining a strikingly fresh voice of its own. Over the past two years this young band has compiled a steep catalogue of interesting and unassuming songs that are sure to fit nicely in the collections of any fan of good old fashioned rock and roll music.
