Manfred Hübler & Siegfried Schwab – There’s No Satisfaction
In terms of songs that are guaranteed to put you in a good mood, ‘There’s No Satisfaction’ must rate pretty highly. Written for the soundtrack of a ‘70 vampire porno, I first became aware of this track when it was put (without any title) on a mix CD I received years ago. The reason I’m putting both of these songs together is that they demonstrate what mixes do best: allowing you to discover great songs that you would otherwise have never heard.

Marden Hill – Curtain
This one, for instance, comes from a new ‘kitsch’ mix by Sammy entitled Carnaby Chic – “one that girls who secretly ( or indeed openly ) wish they were Audrey Hepburn would love.” It’s a motif I find difficult to resist.
On a related note, egoeccentric continue their fine hangover mix series with one from O’Death that is well worth checking out.
