Hjaltalín – Traffic Music
Triumphant Icelandic pop put to great effect in this mixed-media animation that’s as colourful as it is incomprehensible. Hjaltalin is a nine piece ensemble who were singled out for praise after Jim Carroll’s recent scouting mission to the Eurosonic festival showcase in Holland AND crowned ‘Brightest Hope’ at last year’s Icelandic music awards. On the strength of this track, they promise to live up to those expectations. Their album Sleepdrunk Seasons is out now on Kimi records.
