Luna – Sweet Child O’ Mine
A soothing, feather-light interpretation of an ’80s rock anthem, peeling away the bombast of Slash’s soloing to something far more tender. From 1999’s Days of Our Nights, this overlooked gem was originally recorded as a b-side, but once the label discovered it they insisted it find a home on the album. I hadn’t listened to this track in years until I was putting together a mixtape recently and it started rattling around in my head again. An auditory hug, should you need one.
