The Parking Lot Experiments – Please Don’t Be Mad

The Parking Lot Experiments is an unsigned four-piece from Australia whose name is inspired by The Flaming Lips’ infamous Zaireeka album. While their sound is just as diverse as Wayne Coyne and company, it’s the dreamy, folk-rock element in Please Don’t Be Mad (above) and their cover version of Grizzly Bear’s Alligator where they excel. While there’s no official release of any kind so far, there are six tracks and some short films on their MySpace profile…where an endorsement from Dan Deacon (“The Parking Lot Experiments are fucking awesome as shit”) is proudly on display.
