Vuk – Flint in the Pines

I love it when the voice is transformed into a keyboard/guitar/non-existant instrument. That pretty much wins me over straight away. Vuk, a Finnish-American, is a one-woman-band and former Dirty Projectors collaborator who has been joined by a small orchestra to produce ambitious and experimental compositions that are deivered meticulously. There is a new album, The Plains – a follow up to 2003’s Exile!, and you can order a copy here.
