Chris Garneau – Dirty Night Clowns

Chris Garneau’s second album, El Radio, feels like it has been in the pipeline for a long time now. I remember saying hello to him in Paris towards the end of 2007 and Eleanor the Cats and Kids, as it was then titled, was on its way. Though the name has changed and a trip to Mexico had an impact on its themes, the work is still an homage to his grandmother and draws inspiration from historical female figures. But if this track is a good indicator of the quality, the delay will have been worthwhile.

El Radio is released on 7 July through Absolutely Kosher.
