The Fresh & Onlys – I Saw You (It Was Strange)

I think I may have to head to San Fran is garage psych bands like this keep popping up. The Fresh & Onlys are the latest lo-fi heroes to appear on John Dwyer’s Castle Face label (home to Thee Oh Sees and Ty Segall), with their self-titled debut LP dropping in April shortly after appearing at SXSW – and all within one year of forming.MySpace

    House swap!

Ha! What do you think London has to offer you?

Believe me, I’m not complaining about my music scene here but I do have a huge soft spot for Brit rock. That’s why I like to follow UK blogs like yourself to find out what’s going on over there. Except that I’ve realized it doesn’t seem to work that way. All of our indie bands try to break out in Europe and yours here. So we end up informing each other of our own music scenes. Bizarre!

    Cool. Well, works for me!

Though let it be understood that I am an Irishman in exile…
