A surprisingly smart pop tune that mixes together so many elements that it it’s necessarily progressive. The track comes from Kansas-born Janelle Monáe’s Metropolis, Suite 1: The Chase, the first of four planned releases to chart the tale of an android with a soul who risks disassembly by falling in love with a human. If only all releases from Diddy’s Bad Boy records were as original and artistic as this. Check out the video below to get an idea of her live show.
