Smith Westerns – Be My Girl
Smith Westerns may be a bit too lo-fi, even for me. But the chorus of this track has a way of hanging with you, lingering like an echo that doesn’t fade away. So if you have any room for more jangly garage revivalists, give them a chance. The Smith Westerns are from Chicago and their self-titled, debut LP is out now – Rough Trade list it as pre-release but I have been in the shop and held it in my hands, so…it must be out.
