All the Windows are Glowing with Summer’s Slight Return

This mix was designed to be played while driving south, towards the coast, with the windows down – even in winter – and has been road tested as such. I decided to put together all my favourite up-tempo feel-good songs of the year, blend in some jammin’ oldies, and then cut and reshuffle for months until all that’s left is as tight as an exclamation. Mix CD: I Am Trying to Break Your Heart

I’ve been working on this mix on and off for about five months; tweaking, cutting, shuffling and waiting until I got the balance just right. There is a loose conceptual theme and it all blends together to fit neatly on a blank CD. Because it has been so long since my last mix (hence the presence of a few older songs), I thought I’d go all out and package it in a handmade sleeve with a tracklist invitation.
