Nobunny is a nameless man with a mask, a wig and a pair of pink panties who rocks out until he splits his lip with the microphone. He’s also heavily inspired by the Ramones, as if you couldn’t tell. This is a cover of my favourite Deerhunter song, which is part of an ongoing ‘covers swap’ series by Jay Reatard for the Matador label. I’m not sure about the faux-English accent here, but what he has done with the now acoustic ‘people never know’ breakdown is interesting.
