Snowblink – Rut & Nuzzle

Snowblink – Membrillo

Daniela Gesundheit and a long, impressive list of collaborators (including MGMT, Au Revoir Simone, Timber Timbre, Scary Mansion, Angel Deradoorian, Patti Smith) have been putting out enough limited pressings of ornate sounds and souvenirs for the last few years to make Snowblink a heartwarming discovery. Perfect for Christmas too. Continue Reading »

Cover version of MGMT's Electric Feel

David Porteous – Electric Feel (MGMT)

The Wave Pictures have been confirmed for the official after-party (supported by Drowned in Sound DJs) and there are still more names yet to be announced. Live Review: MGMT – La Maroquinerie, Paris

MGMT – ‘Electric Feel’

It’s not everyday that my choice of gig overlaps with that of screaming teenage girls, but this was not the only surprise that MGMT’s live show offered. Having recently ditched the two-guys-and-an-iPod setup, Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden now lead a rather sharp five-piece band, giving the the songs’ complexion a total makeover in the process.
